Air rage is not a gender specific activity. Two recent incidents demonstrate this.

First, on a United flight, a 45-year old female passenger reportedly hit a flight attendant and other passengers during a drunken tirade. She was ultimately duct-taped to a seat by others passengers.

In another case, a New York art professor was detained for an air rage row after she refused to shut off her laptop and mp3 player during an Australian flight and became verbally combative with the Captain.
